Sarah Cheng-De Winne
Touted as the “new generation of jazz singer” (TODAY, 9 Sep 2010), Sarah Cheng-De Winne (+) is a singer-songwriter full of soul. Her debut EP of 7 original songs, Let’s Pretend, has been noted as a “highly polished effort” with “evocative jazz compositions” (The Business Times, 3 Sep 2010). Previously a jazz vocalist in the NUS Jazz Band, Sarah was also the Artistic Director of Treat Her Like A Lady! (2009) in collaboration with Music Director Iskandar Ismail. Catch Sarah next at Esplanade’s Mosaic Music Festival where she performs her originals at the Living Room on 15th March 2011.

Norman Seck
The Creative Director of Elegant Swing (+) is Norman Seck, an ACS (Independent) alumnus, jazz educator and solo artiste based in Singapore. Touted as “Singapore’s up and coming jazz pianist” by Iskandar Ismail (Cultural Medallion Winner), Norman graduated from NUS (Bachelor of Arts) before pursuing his musical studies at the prestigious Berklee College of Music (Boston, USA). The Summa Cum Laude graduate has been featured at The Arts House, Esplanade, Asian Civilisations Museum, etc.
“My love affair with jazz started in 1999, after listening to Diana Krall’s album “All for you”. I was never really into music until 2005, when I joined the NUS Jazz Band. I am very thankful for having excellent mentors during my time in NUS Jazz Band; Rick Smith, Mei Sheum, Babes Conde & Iskandar Ismail.”
Norman’s signature songs include Feel Like Making Love, Bye Bye Blackbird, and Misty.
